Recent Changes to ABC Review List - Dec 2011

 

The Arizona Bird Committee met on 28 December 2011 and approved the following changes to the Review List for Arizona:

 

Note: In general, Review Species are those species with fewer than 30 records for the state since 1972 (when the ABC was founded).  Species with more than 30 records may be removed from the Review List, usually if they have also averaged more than about 3 records per year in the last 5 years. 

 

The following species were removed from the review list:

• Reddish Egret

• Red-shouldered Hawk

• White-eyed Vireo

• Palm Warbler

• Orchard Oriole

The following species was added to the official state list as an established exotic:

 

Rosey-faced Lovebird.  (formerly known as Peach-faced Lovebird)
