Harris's Sparrow (Zonotrichia querula), Mesquite Wash, Maricopa County

This Harris's Sparrow was discovered by Jim Burns on 9 March and photographed by Pierre Deviche on 15 March 2014

Rare transient in Arizona.

Underparts whitish with dark brown smudgy markings along flanks and breast. Head and face warm brown with spotted crown. Bill large and pinkish orange.
