Slate-throated Redstart (Myioborus miniatus), Barfoot Park, Chiricahua Mountains, Cochise County

This Slate-throated Redstart was found by an unidentified couple and photographed by Mary Dineen on 10 April 2014

There are only 7 previously accepted records of this species for Arizona with another pending.

This species is distinctive with slate gray upperparts, black around the face and throat, red belly, lack of white on the wing, red cap, white on the outer rectrices.
