Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus), CAP Recharge Basin in Avra Valley, Pima CountyThis Whimbrel was
found and photographed by Jeremy Medina on 28 July 2014 A Long-billed Curlew was reported at this location the day before and both Long-billed Curlew and Whimbrel were reported from this location on subsequent days with some observers reporting both species.
Rare migrant (mainly spring) away from Yuma County and extremely rare in Pima County Distinguished from Long-billed Curlew by
