Scissor-tailed Flycatcher (Tyrannus forficatus), Ash Fork, Yavapai County

This Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was found by Erika Novak on 16 September 2015 and was photographed by Nanette Armstrong on 24 September 2015 and by Arthur Gonzales on 25 September 2015

Scissor-tailed Flycatcher is a casual migrant and summer visitor to Arizona.

Unmistakable when seen well with exceptionally long, forked tail and pale gray head, pink on the wings. This is probably an adult male, indicated by the shape of the outer primary feathers.
