Hooded Warbler (Setophaga citrina), Granite Basin Lake, Yavapai County

This Hooded Warbler was found by Carl Tomoff on 12 May 2017 and photographed by Bryan Patrick on 13 May 2017

Hooded Warbler is a rare transient and summer visitor with most records in the spring, records have increased in recent years. Possibly a returning individual as two were near this location last year.

Unmistakable bright yellow warbler with black hood and bib and white outer tail feathers.
