Hooded Warbler (Setophaga citrina), ASU Campus, Maricopa County

This Hooded Warbler was found by Maggie MacPherson on 30 April 2020 and photographed by Veronica Heron on 08 May 2020

Hooded Warbler is a rare transient and summer visitor with most records in the spring. Records have increased in recent years, and this spring has seen above average numbers of this species.

Adult male is unmistakable. Bright yellow with black hood and bib.
