White-eyed Vireo (Vireo griseus), Tubac, Santa Cruz County

Thomas Staudt and Jerry Bock discovered this White-eyed Vireo in Tubac along the Anza Trail south of the bridge on 2 December 2007.  Dick Dionne took this photograph of it on 5 January 2008.  White-eyed Vireo is casual in Arizona with fewer than 20 previously accepted records, none from winter.

White-eyed Vireo is an ABC review species..  The ABC requests that reports of these species be accompanied by full details, including when possible, a photo, tape recording, video, or field sketch.  Please send documentation to the Arizona Bird Committee via the online form or click here for further instructions and information about ABC.  Submission of documentation to AZFO does not constitute submission to the ABC.
