Arizona Rare Bird Outlook

​The Arizona Rare Bird Outlook is an AZFO monthly series designed to help birders decide what to look for, where to look, and where focused field effort may be especially worthwhile. Drawing on Arizona Bird Committee records, eBird, North American Birds, other historical sources, and field knowledge, each Outlook highlights the seasonal patterns, habitats, conditions, and search strategies associated with rare and unusual birds in Arizona.

 

Companion monthly summaries look back at the rare and notable birds reported across the state, recognize the observers who found and documented them, and highlight how the month actually unfolded.
